Welcome to WinFax PRO 10.0
============================
WinFax is the software that lets you send and receive faxes from your
desktop -- without needing a fax machine. For more information about
WinFax features, see the WinFax online help.
If you upgraded from the WinFax Starter Edition, note the following:
--------------------------------------------------------------------
- To use Microsoft Exchange or Microsoft Outlook in WinFax, click
%setupdcc
and double click Email. Check the Enable Sending Faxes By Email
option, and then select Microsoft Exchange/Microsoft Outlook
in the Email Program drop-down list.
- When you send a new fax from Outlook, instead of using the standard
email form that you used in the WinFax Starter Edition, you now use
the Send dialog, which provides more features.
- You can no longer send a fax using the Outlook email form. To resend
a previous message, you must now print the message to WinFax. For
information on printing to WinFax, look up "printing, to the WinFax
printer driver" in the WinFax online help index.
- Manage all your faxes in Outlook. WinFax can automatically
copy or move sent or received faxes from your WinFax Send and
Receive Logs to your Outlook Sent Items and Inbox folders,
respectively. To set up this feature, start Program Setup and double
click Email. Modify the appropriate options on each of the available tabs.
- You can view your Outlook Contacts in the Send wizard or Send
dialog, making faxing to contacts even easier. You can now use either
Business Fax or Home Fax to send a fax.
- When you print from your applications, print to a "WinFax" printer
driver rather than to the "WinFax Starter Edition" printer driver.
- If you want to uninstall WinFax PRO at any time, WinFax Starter
Edition will be re-enabled so that you can continue faxing as you did
prior to upgrading.
